THE ROUTE
2022 UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships Route
The route for the 2022 UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships was a route consisting of dirt road, narrow trails and single track.
Participants in the UCI World Championships rode 3 laps for men and 2 laps plus a 7 km loop for women. Each lap is 40 kilometres and 500 metres of altitude.
The start line was in the centre of Haderslev and then the route went along the Geheimerådens path to Pamhule Skov on the single track, beyond Hammelev to Tørning Mølle, after which it went single track back through the forest towards Haderslev.
The route is no longer available for training, as parts of it are on private land and go against the direction of travel on the MTB track in the forest.
Men’s race – 120 km – 3 laps
Women’s race – 87,5 km – 2 laps and a loop
